Heating Unit Installation for Renovations or Construction

Choosing the right heating solution is an important and difficult decision. If you are doing renovations or construction, this choice should be a step in the initial planning process and a step that you should include your HVAC contractor in on! At Carolina Air Services of Raleigh, we would be honored to help.

Electric or Gas Furnace Replacement

Furnaces, which utilize ducts to distribute clean and heated air, are how many people choose to keep their homes warm and comfortable. Eventually your furnace may need to be replaced for a variety of reasons. We can check the AFUE or annual fuel utilization efficiency to measure your appliances energy efficiency, and help you to compare it to other heating systems in the marketplace. Upgrading to a new model has the potential to cut your bills down by half, but it is important to get a heating contractor to choose the right model and right size for your home.

Heat Pump Repair and Replacement

Heat pumps move heat rather than generate it, and they are often used in homes instead of furnaces or air conditioners when your heating needs are not extreme. Proper maintenance will extend the lifetime of a heat pump. Heat pumps over 10 years old should be looked at by a professional contractor and possibly replaced. If your heat pump has failed, call us at 919-931-8277 and we will get someone on the job as soon as possible.

Hybrid Heating System Installation

Do you want a hybrid heating system installed? A hybrid system combines two heating sources (a furnace with a heat pump) to save energy and deliver heat. Hybrid heating systems can also cool down your home in the hot months allowing you to save energy all year. Thermostat Replacement

Is the thermostat on your air conditioning unit or furnace not working properly? The thermostat directs the equipment on when and how much air or heat to produce. The thermostat may need to be reset or replaced. Common reasons for malfunctions include the thermostat battery being bad or the components not being clean.

Duct Work

Ducts are sources of airflow, which deliver and remove air, and help keep residents comfortable in their homes. If the ducts were not properly installed or maintained, they will likely become dirty and eventually need to be serviced or replaced. It is difficult to see for yourself if mold/dust exists or if there has been an infestation of pests, which is why Carolina Air Services of Raleigh offers duct inspections. If you are concerned about your home's ducts leaking or needing to be cleaned, ask an HVAC expert.

Air Handler

The air handler is the principle air delivery system for your heating and air conditioning equipment. Comprised of various parts, we troubleshoot and diagnose issues that will keep the air moving within your home.
